They just found those two girls that were missing recently dead in the car that was reported they were in....I would love to see Yahoo take the first and quite historic step in the Internet Age, and put a "Missing Children's" thing on their home page. Millions like myself use the internet daily, and Yahoo as their home page, so what an awesome venue to reach so much of the general public, and perhaps, AOL, and Netscape, etc. would follow Yahoo...Does anyone else think this is a good idea???? Like an "Internet Amber Alert", Yahoo could easily put something of that sort there, and look how many people would see that, I think it would be awesome, anyone else??????

Absolutely...i'm all for it. Tickers don't take much room at all... and the amber alert website has link to them to download.

Every action taken to ensure the decline of the rate of abducted children is a great one.

I think the reason they stopped putting missing children on milk cartons was that it scared children -- they started thinking they stranger abduction was very common and were afraid they would be snatched. I think "Amber Alert" cases where the child has just been kidnapped deserve all the publicity they can get, and maybe the children that use the Internet are old enough to understand, but the boy that had been kidnapped and lived near home for four years had his picture plastered everywhere and no one seemed to notice.

I think that is a wonderful idea.

I ran the idea of Google having the "Amber Alert" on their home page to my husband. He said it would probably be a good idea since even schools use Google as their home page.

But I really think you are on to something there!!! Yahoo is widely used. I use it all day at work. Seeing it every day would really make it stick in someone's mind. Making it more possible that you would recognize a child if you saw them somewhere.

Anywho, I think it's a brilliant idea!
