Yes and no. The concept of god and jesus guides GWBush, and the people who follow him believe he was chosen by god to lead us.

However, since god does not exist, it is not possible for god to intervene in the affairs of mankind.

Were god to exist, it would be a cruel god that either chooses not to intervene in the realm of mankind, or deliberately causes strife for its "children."

People that believe in the Biblical God are controlling the uS, definately. Not to be stereotypical but a mjaority of the south in the so called Bible Belt has goten more and more aggressive on issues that don't concern it. Church and State should be seperate but increasingly the Church wants to ban views opposed to it's own or to spread it's influence where it has no place. Religion has no place in the science lab yet that is what they are doing.

As for whether they are attacking others so they can win, not so much. In the modern media where wars are seen from day to day American expect an overwhelming victory when they go to war. Since Vietnam any country America goes to war against must be outnumbered by American troops 10 to 1. America doesn't atack unless it knows it can win, you only have to look at Iraq to know this. The actual war itself did not last long and for the size of the population America was going to control they sent a huge number of troops along with supporting countries. It is now they are paying the price as they realise the fallacy of only looking at troop numbers as a small group in Iraq are killing more MAerican soldiers than died during the "War"

The Biblical God controls the world, not just the USA. Whatever happens, God is in control. If you want to know the future, read the Holy Bible.

God is watching over us, and He is in control, but He allows us to do the things we do because of free will. He also allows good govts. to stop bad govts. We have to pray and seek His will. If He didn't want us to go over there He would have stopped it.

If it were there would not be as many wars, no Abortion, and there are tons of other laws in the US that go against God.
