I am engaged to a girl that i enjoy spending my time with, we've been together two and half years and have a joint mortgage. The thing is, i don't really know if i love her because she's my first ever relationship. She knows that she loves me because she's had numerous boyfriends in the past but i don't know how love is supposed to feel like so how do i know if i love her? Please help a confused Romeo people?

Love is a feeling that is self-LESS.
True love makes you want to look after someone else -- to watch out and ensure that the person you love isn't going to get hurt, to ensure he/she is protected and properly cared for -- but even more than that -- love makes you want the best for the one you love in any situation.
Without love true love for someone else, we tend to think of ourselves first -- and then others. With love -- we put them next to us and we care equally for them and about them -- as we care about ourselves. Healthy love doesn't not care more, or less -- but equally.
Love also makes you feel happy, fulfilled and safe. Love makes you content and calm. You are not jealous, insecure, worried or have doubts when love is solid and strong. True love should give you strength and confidence to go forward in the world. It should not detract from you in any way. It should add to your life.
When it comes to marriage, think of this:
Marriage is a union that should be for the betterment of two people. Each person should be committed to the what is BEST for the union of two people (not for themselves). If you both can give freely and care for each other -- and the union of the two of you -- FIRST AND FOREMOST -- you have an excellent shot at a happy marriage.
Furthermore, the next important thing in any marriage is trust, honesty and respect. If you've got that -- and all of the above -- you've got it. You've found the recipe for success!!
If you don't -- it means one or both of you doesn't know who you are and what you want out of life -- and until you clearly define that and are solid in your own self-respect and love -- marriage will be a daily struggle, if not possible at all!

P.S. Many people above are describing LUST. True love often doesn't make you long to be with someone all the time -- because you are confident in your love. You feel free to live and do without a person -- because you know when you want to see them - they will be there. Lust, however, and insecurity causes strong desires, rose-colored glasses, etc! Aww romeo, well first thing is first, when you find love you will know it and you will never ever have to SECOND GUESS "am I in love". thats the first thing. When you cant live without this person, when if anything ever happens you will give a rib to this person, and if you are apart you love unconditionally, when you see another women you wont second guess being with anyone else, the love of your life is perfect to you, and you feel it in your heart. But my question to you is why do you feel like you dont love her? is it something else thats bothering you, or that your worried about?

First of all. Money-Matters, shouldn't play into your line of thinking. It's a signal from Your Heart, to hers. It's a feeling that can overcome any obstacle that comes in your way. But it's an Emotion. That can be damaged so easily. Money has nothing to do with it.

You have to feel with your heart.
When you are not with her, does it feel like you are waiting to be with her again?
Do you get intense feelings, weak in the knees, stomach tight?
Do you guys communicate well?
Love is all of these things. That you know for sure there is not another person you want to be with.

Ok first think to yourself is this the person i really want to spend the rest of my life with and talk to her more about how you feel. Then go from there.

I asked that question for a long time, and when that person that you love does come along, you just know. You dont have to question it.
