Organ meats such as heart, liver or kidney can be fed once or twice a week. Liver is very nutritious and large quantities are not required, or recommended because of the high levels of vitamin A but a small amount once or twice a week is a good addition to the diet.

you shouldn't give your dog any. its not good for the dog you should give your dog a high quality dog food. When i worked at a vets office alot of people asked that and all vets i have talked with have said its not good for dogs especially if you give them liver as its only food

It doesnt have to be cooked. But you shouldnt give him very much, its very rich. A few slices a week!!
I feed raw and give my dog. And give him all raw meat, bones & organ meat. Meat with bones on it should never be cooked. He'd priobably benifit more from the liver un-cooked.

Don't give him too much, a friend of mine took a dog from a butcher and he had lots of liver and very soon his teeth decayed and fell out, this is true
