well, if you meant a foreign language you might want to learn English first, just a suggestion. Or use the spell check before you send messages.

I personally feel French, I believe it is easier to understand, learn and speak.. It depends on you as an individual, where are you most likely to use either language. Do you have children, who will do French in school. I think French has to be taught and in Secondary school German is optional.
Where would you like to visit in the future, money permitting.
Once you learn a language, you can soon forget bits if you do not use it regularly

i studied french in school and i have never really had the oportunity to use it in my life, nor german,

i guess you should decide where you would prefer to go

if you like arts, then french, and if you like business german.

If you meant Foreign perhaps French, it is used much wider than German, plus it also lends itself to Spanish and Italian as they are all Latin derived. Plus it's kind of a beautiful langauge.

That depends where you live. Or where you would to travel to.
I would learn Spanish..Then again I live in NYC, lots of Spanish people here.
