Hmmm, well the answer to this question seems fairly self-evident. If people interchange the two meanings then obviously they feel that information expressed in the bible IS conforming to fact or actuality.
Everyone has a unique definition of the word "truth". Why single out one group?

I am not even taking this from the Christian perspective, but defining truth as "conformity to fact or actuality" is a bit misleading.
That is why some say Truth (capital T) to point out higher truth. For example, the world is Maya is a Truth. Most scientists (except quantum side) will argue that the world is not illusion or dream - but a fact or actuality.
Conformity to fact or actuality - well, we are not our bodies...we will never die. That is fact/actuality. As science hasn't grasped this yet...and some debate it...people call it Truth (than truth).
Truth/truth is a bit more slippery than you think.

The light is the life force within all things living. The Bible clearly states in the beginning of John that people who are in darkness can not see or comprehend the light. That would conform to fact and actuality." Unless you have another fact about what animates our flesh.

in the adventure that they were similar of their moves then why ought to at least one call herself a witch? What about her and her beliefs/moves ought to reason that? I even don't have any problem with organic drugs and organic treatments, see you later as there are not any incantations/spells or superstitions in touch, notwithstanding the finished "crystal healing" element is somewhat too some distance off for me. So i wager i will't really answer the question because i ought to favor to attraction to close why one human being ought to call themselves a witch even as yet another man or woman would not, even even with the actuality that both are supposedly appearing an identical moves. yet no, the time period "witch" would not scare me as a lot because it makes me second wager the source and the reason of the time period. Does that make any sense to you? :0)

The truth is that Jesus did exist. Most people have accepted that as fact even if they do not believe He is the Son of God. Why haven't you conformed to that actuality (your definition)? The truth is that Jesus is The Truth whether you believe or not.
May God Bless you.

Another question designed to rally those who hate the faithful to a fest of ridicule. Philosphers have been trying to define "truth" for centuries and no one with any depth of intellect stops at the definition you gave. The "truth" has a way of biting you, if you're not careful, so be careful.

Because Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the TRUTH and the life and no one comes to the Father God except by Me."
Jesus said, "If you've seen Me, you've seen the Father God."
Jesus said "I am the fact and I am the actuality and I AM THAT I AM and I created it all."
The spirit of antichrist is in the world today trying to take Jesus Christ out of the Godhead. Trying to say that Jesus was only a man and a prophet and not God. BUT JESUS SAID, 'IF YOU'VE SEEN ME, YOU'VE SEEN THE FATHER AND THE FATHER AND I ARE ONE." Jesus was very clear in stating that He was God among us. He even said He was slain from the foundation of the world so He was in the beginning.
This is why I say I know the Truth.

I suppose for the very same reason some of you use an odd definition for the word "Christian".
The word means "one who follows Christ"...but you use it to mean something like "rabid religionist who wants everyone to think the same way they do". Example: "all Christians are fundies who think that evolution is totally false and the world is only around 6,000 years old."

Good morning Meat!
I think you unknowingly answered your own question.
The reference to "the light of truth" as you reference is most ofen used to describe the confimation of truth through the third member of the Godhead, the Holy Ghost.
He can and only will confirm that which is "truth" and as you state, and conforms to fact or actuallity.
Followers of God, not in name only, but those who through following the direction of his word and applying them have recieved a witness, understand that mans truth is limited to that which has been proven by man. That which has been proven is indeed "true". They also understand that through the witness of the Holy Ghost, that truth, beyond that which man has yet proven can be, while not yet fully understood, be confirmed as truth, if it is a true principle.
The science of men has only proven that which is true and conforms to natural law which is eternal.
I agree with you whole heartedly that often men use terminology they do not fully understand to express things or theories that they desire to believe. That is called science and religion. The confimation of truth however it different for each.
In the science of men truth is achived by and limited to the repeated replication of events. As such the ability to achive truth is limited to mans understanding and ability to apply natural law.
In religion, truth is understood as natural law and although not confirmed yet by man, truth is achived by searching, studying, pondering, applying a belief or theory to the best of ones ability then taking that which one has worked out in his own mind before God, with a willing and open heart. He has promised to confirm through the spirit that which is true.
You and I both know that be it in science or religion, men of imperfect knowlege of the subject they discourse often use the premise of fact to persuade others toward the same line of reason that they follow. Is that truth? No.
Best wishes.
Love ya!

We know the truth that has set us free. I am always praying for someone who doesn't know the truth (Jesus), because without him there is no peace, no life, no righteousness, no faith, no love (true), no heaven. No matter what you think, there is absolute truth. The sky is still the sky. Whether you believe it or not, it does not change the fact that it is the sky. God bless
