sierra leone medal 2000 which was my recently deceased father's. we're not selling it. my brother and i are at loggerheads as to whether it would have any monetary value. just for the sake of argument!

Medals can be bought for around £50. Obviously, on ebay you could get a lot more. However, if you ever decide to sell medals a group is worth more to a collector than a single medal. So if your father was awarded several and they are in a group all with the same name then do not split the group.

The only person that medal holds value to is your late father, and him alone. He laid down his life to earn the medal so why should you and your brother be arguing over the price of it.

Check on ebay...if it is worth something, you'll see it being sold on ebay.
