Oh, in case you're wondering, I loved his speech and am grateful that 'normal' people represent a faith I follow!

Some Christians are closed-minded about many things as are all people. GOD made each of us to be different. Even twins can be as different as day and nite. I am thankful that HE did so. You are absolutely right about the way that Tony and Lovie spoke of GOD. Wasn't that refrehing? I hope that you have as great a day as I will. REad, study, and share HIS WORD with others today and HE will be pleased!

It's not an easy question to answer because we are all closed off to what we don't want to know/hear and we are all similar in some ways. Conservative Christians may be closed-minded with regards a Liberal view of the world but that's the same in reverse too I'd imagine. Christians are alike in they believe that Jesus is their Saviour who came to save the world from Sin. They will tend to believe in Eternal Life and in Heaven and Hell as well so in that sense, they are alike. In other ways they might not be. "Do I wear sandals with socks and shake a tambourine like a maniac during worship while cupping my hand to the ceiling and saying "praise him" or do I dress and act appropriately for the setting?" In these areas they might not be so alike. Not an easy question to answer really.

I think that all religions and groups that profess to not be religions have close minded representatives. I know some Christians from all denominations that are open minded and caring to others. I know pagans, wiccans, Muslims, and atheists that are close minded to any other beliefs that are not their own and others that are open. It is not the religion, but how far the followers take it.

wow,. well I am speaking for my self & very open minded, However not sure what you mean about Tony D and or Lovie, what they do is between GOd and them selves, WHO am I to judge?
Not all christians are alike, Yes we are to be LIKE- Christ, however we are learning and Not perfect as people judge us to be, No i didnt heat Tonys speech, unless he was the one talking about God and the Game Thanking God they won, ect,
Thats cool, but not sure he is the same person, I didnt watch the super bowl on tv, because we didnt have the channel but listen on the radio
I believe that With out God I woundt be here and I am nothing with out HIM
my faith is in GOD and with HIM all things are Possiable
but this is my faith, i dont know your faith, nor will i judge that, Us christians, were Not always christians, we were the same as non christians as well for a time,
Take care

their a new babes in Christ, meaning new to being christians, and theirs others that are in between still working on old habits ect, we are not going to change all our ways or habits over night, and I am not one to judge either,
I love all, pray for all, and help when able,
and i will speak truth and i will not back down from my beliefs either, my faith is part of me, and i am not going to change my beliefs because someone else doesnt like it,

God bless you

I consider myself unique, openminded.I will 'witness' when the situation calls for it. But they are not 'all alike'.I think thats just a 'pretty show'. Its what in the heart. And you will have a few people that have strong opinions on whats what.Thats just because theres sooo many opinions out there.
ha ha,no I didn't watch the super bowl.

I think SOME Christians are closed-minded but that can be said of many people who lack empathy and understanding. A closed mind is will-full and chooses to be closed. Many Christians have opened their minds and are not hateful or spiteful towards others. These are the truest of Christians, all the others are merely puppets to a darker master.

Me! I think MOST Christians are closed minded and all alike!

Why? Christians believe that their faith is the one and only path of spirituality. Christians have evangelists, to try and convince others that their faith is "right". (When was the last time a Buddhist knocked on your door at a ridiculous hour on a Sunday and hassle you about "finding salvation" (vomit!)

Christians burnt non-christians at the stake, for disagreeing with them in middle ages. (At least buddhists only set fire to themselves out of protest!)

Christians believe that if you are not a christian, then you will miss out, or you will burn in hell. Many other religions are more tolerant of other faiths!

Too bad Tony won't be seeing his son again, EVER! After all, according to his religion, a suicide cannot enter heaven. It's good to know that God favors Indiana above all else, too.

"Just to let you know, God was watching out for US and not the Bears! In this one sentence, I'll give God human emotions to take credit for the effort of the entire team!" To hell with Payton Manning; he didn't do squat! It was ALL God's doing!

I wonder if God will get a diamond ring for his efforts?

A lot of people may think that way about us Christians but that's just because they don't truly understand us.
