Bible says that in the beginning there was word only, and the word is God. So before the material creation, the God was there in the spiritual world. Because God is completely spiritual and the material creation was created, the Word mentioned is not the word of this material creation. Bible further mentions that God says, "Let there be light." God says, "Let there be creation" and there is light and creation etc...

God is not created but is eternally existing. He created the material world. And the word of the God is there even now in the form of Bible, Quran and the Vedas. Bhagavad gita is not only the word of God but song of God, because Bhagavad means of God and Gita means Song.

These words of God are scriptures. In fact the Vedic scriptures are called SRUTI, that which is heard from the guru by the disciple who in turn transmits the word or sound to his disciple.
In this way the SRUTI, the word or sound or scriptures are transmitted in the disciplic succession beginning from God.

For example at a radio station word is transmitted in the air and the person who has radio hears that word. In the same way, the word of God, SRUTI or Veda was transmitted by the Supreme Lord, and persons just Brahma who are qualified, hear it and thus the word,SRUTI or Veda is spread throughout the everywhere. That same thing is presented in writing or by tradition, by hearing. That is scripture, God's word, SRUTI, Veda, Bible etc...

Gods word is the BIBLE. You can read it, or buy a CD and listen to it.

Many people have heard the audible voice of God, but most of us hear a "still small voice" in our hearts(or heads) I believe that is the Holy Spirit.
Its that gentle nudging feeling that tells you what youre doing is wrong when you steal or lie.

Read your Bible if you want to know Gods word. Its the best way.

God's word is two things

1) Jesus is God's word (John 1:1-5)
2) the written Word (the Bible)

We all have seen what happens when certain people say they have "God's Word" with no correlation to Jesus and the written word . . . Jones Town . . . Children of God . . . etc

There's two: Common Sense.
Thats what Gods Word adds up to. Forget the nonsense you hear from people who have about as much knowledge in what Gods Word really says as a damn grapefruit.
Its no damn wonder you see a person's avitar called "godless".

Some matters are far beyond our comprehension. Imagine this tale: Two dots are quietly resting on a sheet of paper, when a sphere passes through, next to them. As it passes, one dot tells the other:
"Hey, look! Another dot!" Then the sphere goes on passing, and the dot is puzzled. "Oh, my, Now it is turning into a circle, it is growing, growing, GROWING... And now it is shrinking, shrinking, shrinking... Now it's a dot... and disappeared!"
The other dot respectfully says: "We have seen the face of God. Let's keep it to ourselves."
So, like one stupid two-dimension shape that is not able to understand a three-dimension shape, our necessity to define the infinite (God, by definition) is mediocre and pathetic.
