I want 2 use filter stuff in photoshop. I want to be able 2 have only one color in the picture. I've seen it in quad movies before and stuff and over the color blue will be in the picture.. Could be from the quad to a lake and only blue will show it so if a movie can do It I know pictures can do it! Thanks!

Select the color you want your image to be. Then under image - hue saturation, select the check box "colorize" and the image will only be that color.

You can do this in PhotoShop, but you don't use a filter. There's a menu, it's like 3rd or 4th from the left that has an option to mess with color levels for the current layer, you can mess with RGB and make it darker or lighter, or you can selectively turn down red, green or blue. I think this is what you want. I think it's called 'Levels' or something like that. Another menu option close by to that one messes with hue, saturation and tone and is also useful for tweaking an image's color.

There are a number of ways to accomplish what you want, and it might require some experimentation on your part as you learn Photoshop through use.

here's how I would do it:

First, go into the menu "Image >> Mode >> Greyscale to convert it to black and white.

Next, go into the menu "Image >> Mode >> Duotone. This will let you change the black in the image to any color you wish, in this case choose a blue you like.

Finally, you convert the color to either CMYK or RGB, depending whether you will be printing it or using it on the web - it will maintain the blue.

Okay what you need here is the gradient tool, once you have your image ready, choose the shiny box tool next to the eraser (on the side toolbar) press the mouse down and pull it through your image, image will change color to the color you choose in the color box.
