From your question it appears you are traveling as a group and are asking about things young adults would need to know.

Depending on where you are traveling too, in some countries you need to have change to give the bathroom attendant or to use a pay toilet, money to rent a headset on the plane, money to tip the person who checks you bags at curbside, tips for tour guides, tips for laundry attendants, baggage handles at your hotel or taxi drivers.

In general, when I travel I try to have at least $10 US exchanged into local currency before I leave the airport. I try to have at least $10 US in small bills for expenses on the plane or before I can exchange currency. This usually has covered incidental expenses I wasn't expecting.

Well, most food prices are pretty much from region to region, tho Public Transport does tend to vary, if you are coming to Brighton try www.buses.co.uk
