I have heard that it is best to exercise is in the morning before breakfast. I have also heard that the best time is at night so that your body still metabolizes while you are sleeping.
Does anyone know and what are the reasons?
Thank You...

It really makes no difference, the right time is the time which suits you. Good luck

A drawback to working out at night is that it keeps you energized for a few hours, so it'll be hard to fall asleep.

It's not proven, but I'd say it's best to work out in the morning before breakfast because you will be full of energy to start the day, it will metabolize your breakfast quickly, and your metabolism will be raised for the next few hours.

Also, no matter what it's good to exercise before a meal. After exercising, if you plan on eating, you should eat between 15 and 45 minutes afterwards when your metabolism is still at its highest point.

Good luck!

Morning before breakfast also has the added benefit that you get it done before the excuses/hassles/tasks/problems of the day have a chance to appear.

I think the metabolic reason is that exercising before breakfast pumps up metabolism for several hours, allowing you to burn more fat than if you exercised later in the day. Carbohydrates are our bodies first choice as an energy source throughout the day. During sleep, the long absence from eating depletes those carbs. The theory is by waking up and exercising right away, we burn more fat.

Every body reacts different. I know some people that exercise first thing in the morn, and for me, I'm better later in the evening. The idea is that you exercise when it feels best for you, so long as your doing it! Good Luck
