Sometimes when I have gas bubbles in my gut, it feels like a sharp knife, and it gets more intense and more intense to where i actually start whining... I just get scared becaue I imagine it like, when you blow up a balloon and put too much air in, and it pops... can gas cause damage if there is too much?

No, it can only be dangerous if it cannot get out due to a blockage (caused by domething like cancer or disease process).

If the gas pain is in your side...rub your side in a downwards motion that should subside the pain. Also watch what you are eating if you have trouble passing gas or using the bathroom you should eat more fiber. Like bran muffins or oatmeal. Gas can damage you if you do not pass it. More fiber should help though.

Gas pains are some of the nastiest you can get but they won't damage anything & eventually the gas will pass
