No matter what anyone says, the baby's father will always be around. He'll always be in all of your lives if you stay together with your girlfriend. You have to accept that because there is no other way. As far as him thinking that you are trying to be the new daddy, that always happens. You also must understand where he is coming from when he says that. Hey, if it's not you, then it will be the next guy, and the guy after that. It's a rolling pattern from the father. You must make the choice on whether you can deal with that or not. Now, I don't see why the mother has to spend all that time with the father. Why can't he just come and pick up the child? It would frustrate me as well if I were in your situation, but I also would have to make the choice. Good luck.
