The infalible Al Gore's fabled crisis is a bit tardy. If the world is heating up so that it's 10 F in maryland WITH the sun out, when can we expect this armageddon of which he speaks?

People sometimes confuse weather with climate. At any time the weather can be anything. The climate is the long term average. If an IPCC scientist made that argument, first they'd laugh at him. Then they'd kick him off the project.

This is hardly Al Gore's thing. The science and the data based and peer reviewed IPCC report have setlled the debate. These people think so, and they vote Republican:

"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."

James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.

"The overwhelming majority of atmospheric scientists around the world and our own National Academy of Sciences are in essential agreement on the facts of global warming and the significant contribution of human activity to that trend."

Russell E. Train, former environmental official under Presidents Nixon and Ford

"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."

President George Bush

Sometimes you have to answer a question with another one or two. Who says Al Gore is infallible? The crisis is not a fable!!! Are you not paying attention? It is going on all around us. The icebergs are melting at an increasingly faster rate...do you understand what that means? The fish are dying off. Do you know what that means? Do some research for heavens sake! We in the west have had the worst winter in history, and that is just one more repercussion of the fact of global warming. It is a consensus by science all around the world that man is contributing to his own demise. Get on board and begin to do something positive to help this planet! Keep your criticism of Al Gore separate from this issue which threatens all of us. We are all in it together, and it is only for the highest good that we all realize it and work together to try to reverse the harm that we've wrought on our beautiful planet.
