Does he have a separate cancer doctor, besides the radiation one?
If so, try him/her. Also, ask to see the DOCTOR, instead of the nurse practitioner. NP's may be restricted in their prescription writing in Tennessee, doctor's aren't.

As a last resort, call the local section of the American Cancer Society.

Your experience with the pain clinic is not uncommon. They focus on chronic , non cancer pain.

look in your local phone book under pain doctors. call all of them untill you find one who is willing to help your husband. it sickens me that people who need medication can't get it and the pill heads can. i wish you the best of luck.
