It depends on what needs doing! For shoeing you can expect to pay about £45-£60 for a full set of shoes, plus trimming costs. our horses feet will need trimming every 6-8 weeks although the shoes will last longer.

Vet bills vary greatly, standard vaccinations cost around £45 and if your horse needs an operation you are talking thousands. Your best bet is to make sure your horse is insured properly to cover unexpected costs.

You may feel silly phoning people up to ask about costs, but how else are you going to find out what it really costs? Owning a horse can be a very expensive hobby and unless you are 100% sure you can afford it you should perhaps consider sharing a horse with someone.

I stay in Cumbria and have merely bought a colt. the two degree vetting replace into approximately £80. an entire 5 degree vetting is £one hundred twenty, which replace into with physique and fast in Penrith - they are extremely stable. The farriers tend to be between £40 5 and £fifty 5 for a trim and a sparkling set of footwear, and around £10 - £20 for a trim, with out footwear. stable success with your horse
