They both prayed to him before the game to let them win. The Colts won... i guess that means god heard their prayer and not the Bears... or perhaps he just didn't acknowledge the Bears prayer for whatever reason. Perhaps he just hates the Bears, are their players more sinful?

Even God understands that Rex Grossman sucks.

I thought about this before the game...
First God soes not favor the Colts or the Bears, I think he may be just slightly above that.
If both sides are seeking him then they are praying that what he wants done through the game will be done.
And, I think we saw it. Did you see the 10-15 minutes after the game. Both Irsay and Dungy talked about God - and Dungy even said that even winning in this competitive league could be done God's way. That was very powerful. And the CBS announcer signed off saying that even after Dungy's loss of a son a year ago the fact that he could have faith to thank God was wonderful.
You see, God will move when you seek him - the game was a tool to get a greater message out - Tony Dungy won a game but he also showed the power that God offers all of us in life.
God did answer both of their prayers, like he does, in ways greater than we can imagine.

I believe He did not favor either one. Know why? Because He tells us that He Loves us all equal. So it does not matter whither one prayed more than the other. It is ability that won the super bowl, with God's overseeing. God does not hate the bears, He is absolutely crazy about every one of the players on either side. As He is over you. He Loves everyone the same, with an unconditional Love.

I dont think it is a question of which teams but more of a style of play. In the national championship of college. ProudTed Ginn ran back kickoff and hurt leg to play no more. Then modest Florida of the Powerful SEC triumphed.

In Super Bowl, Boastful Hester makes kickoff touchdown and modest Manning picks apart prideful Cover 2 defense with cruel Ehrlanger.

To quote Napolean...God is on the side of the bigger field artillery. In this case the larger cannon was Manning....and his soldiers (the OL) were able to win the battle of the trenches. Anyone notice how well that rookie right tackle played? Dude's first game was the super bowl and he played like a stud.

It's in the Bibble that you shouldn't worship false idols. Golden bears, colts, rams, what have you, the Bibble says that they're all "no bueno."

When God was watching the game with his Bibble in one hand and his ice cold Bud Light in the other hand, he probly tried to smight them both, but his hands were full so only one team got smoted.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. So goeth to salvation, my unruly sons of Nazarene.
