To me, the significance of study is not the certificate. Rather it is the knowledge that we get from all the books. Understanding the depth of what the books are trying to say. Knowledge is never ending.

It means the importance of the study. What the research/study can positively contribute to your profession and to global development if any. It also states the important reason why you are conducting the study.
