I'm off on a 60's themed Singles Night at Manchester Art Gallery, and I would like to know what to wear. I know that 60's dress is optional, but I'd at least like to fit in visually. The real me kinda comes out when I'm more comfortable, and I'm more comfortable when I know that I fit in.
It's my first Singles Night ever, so I'd like some suggestions on what not to do - without stating the obvious.
Any ideas? The night is 14th February (no points for guessing why.)

Hey good luck with the party. Here, go to www.rustyzipper.com so you can get a visual of the different types of clothing from the 60's. There's the Mod look and the Hippie look. You'll find something there that you will be comfortable in.

Rent the original Ocean's 11 movie.. 1960's .. A great suit, longer collars.. very kewl dudes in that movie.. not to mention the re-make. Slick back your hair like Dean Martin you're good to go!

John Travolta was the 70's........... wear white or bright coloured trousers.. tight fitting. and bright gawdy patterened shirt open a little at neck. suedette shoes

go in skin tight black jeans and a leather jacket over a black t shirt (think guys and dolls) you'll knock 'em dead....good luck
