Follow these steps:
1.Start by placing a towel over the fresh cat urine, step on it and press it down to absorb as much urine as possible. Repeat with a dry towel and rub until no more moisture can be absorbed.
2. Next, wet the area with a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water, Make sure you use a sufficient amount of the mix to saturate all the fibres deeply. Allow it to dry, You can speed up the drying by using a fan and rubbing with a towel. The vinegar will negate the ammonia and the baking powder will take away the odor of the cat urine.

I have 15 cats and ive been through the trials and trivulations of not only cat urine but also cat spray. One of my cats has been too unwell to nuter and he sprays like a gooden. He also wee'd on my wool carpet more than once as he was unwell.
I tried a few things and none worked and then one day I just grabbed a bottle i found on the shelf in pets at home and its called Simple solution cat stain and odor remover. Its brilliant and even gets rid of cat spray in a few squirts. The large bottle is just under £5 but is well worth the money and is always handy to have incase theres any more accidents.

Yes, white or yellow vinegar is a great way to get rid of any odors. Just dilute with water as little or as much as you need. Check to make sure in an inconspicuous area as not to fade your carpet. You will have a pungent smell for a few days but it will go away along with the cat spray or urine. Good luck!

Vinegar -- it will smell bad, like vinegar, to you for awhile, but once it dries it will get rid of the urine smell, and more importantly, there's something in it that neutralizes the odor that tells the cat it's ok to go pee there again. Make sure you clean the carpet as well as you can with plain, hot water, and then spray vinegar on it generously!

I had a really old cat, and the only thing that would get rid of the smell was metholated spirits , it seemed to work and then a good clean with a disinfectant .
Rub the meths with a clean dry cloth well into the carpet, then leave for a short while, get another clean cloth and rub well with disfectant.
Hope it works for you.

The only permanent solution I have is the Austin Air PET Machine. A bit pricey but if you want to permanently keep your cat and permanently have the smell gone then I’d suggest it no doubt. No matter how hard I tried to wash out the carpets or the couches or even the walls the smell would always come back. Apparently its just a lingering smell in the air, so with the pet machine now I don’t have to waste my time every week scrubbing for hours. Hope this helps! -Randall

Hi there...consider Nature's Miracle Just For Cats found worldwide at most pet stores. It's an enzymatic neutralizer which works by breaking down urine proteins by thoroughly soaking the areas affected and allowing to air dry. Repeated applications are necessary for heavily soiled areas. Couch will require extra solution so consider buying the Gallon size to achieve the results.

no way to get rid of the cat. try to use detergent and soak it about 6 hours and then let it dry for 4 hours and see the smell is gone.
Let the cat practise to urine on a piece of newspaper.

Dont clean with any bleach or ammonia based products, these will encourage the cat to reoffend! Use washing powder to clean the carpet & a spray like Dettox to neutralize the odour. Good Luck :)

Damp the area with a same amount of water, get some distilled white vinegar add about half a pint of vinegar to a gallon of water. use on the area and pat dry, the vinegar will neutralise the smell and won't effect your carpet in anyway.
