Why did God create the whole universe?
What motivated Him to create the everything?
If it is a feeling such as love, loneliness etc... Why was He feeling that way?

I doubt that there is God, I ask these questions to know more about him. These questions, until anwered fully and clearly, will serve as a hindrance for me in believing Him.

Hi - I have some answers for you, but I apologize that I will need to be a bit wordy, but here goes:
(this is from the original manuscripts, which is where I study from)
I know people think that the first creation of the earth is what you read about in the Book of Genesis. But it is not. Its a refurbishing of the earth after its destruction from the great war. What war?
Satan was to guard the very throne that was reserved for the Christ. Instead, satan wanted to be the begotten Son of God, instead of Jesus. So he started a hugh war, which spanned from Heaven to earth. About a third of our people went on satans side along with 7000 Angels. Then there was a great portion who didn't care either way, as long as they weren't affected by it (whats new, huh?) and then there was another group who stayed on the side of God, never faltering, stedfast. This group God calls His election. Satan was defeated, and sure, God could have just killed off the one-third that rebelled, but what does it take to kill one of your own? That you love? So, instead, He ended that earth and Heaven age, and brought in a new one, which is the one we are in today. This is the second earth age.
God wanted to be fair, so he decreed that every soul would come through this earth age one time, born of flesh, to make a final choice of which they would follow. Satan was judged after the war, and condemned to death, but that will not be until after this age is over, because God is using him - you can't fairly make a choice if you don't have any comparitors, you know?
So that is what this age is all about - Choice.
Anyway, God states that He created all souls for his pleasure.
Yes, He wanted company. All souls were created way back before the previous earth age, but when we came into this age, we were made to forget, because if we all knew what had happened then, and who was who, then we would be judging each other like crazy, even worse than we do now, if you can imagine that.
So, yeah, according to the writings, God wanted children, and its also written that before that great war, we were all very happy, and everyone "laughed with joy and happiness constantly".
We will be going back to that, as soon as this weeding out is finished. I know theres alot of garbage out there being taught as if it came from God, but it didn't. For example, this earth will not be destroyed in a nuclear blast (satan himself doesn't even want that), this earth, meaning the terafirma, was created to be inhabited forever, and it will be. We will be living right here on earth just like we did before, billions of years ago. The Bible does not say this earth is 6000 years old - it says its eons old, and even talks about the earth ages in Second Peter.
Where the Bible says the elements will burn with fire - elements in the manuscripts is "evil rudiments" meaning evil folks and any evil governmental systems, like the one Antichrist will come and set up. Thats what will burn, not His children.
When you hear stupid things like the rapture where people disappear from cars and they crash on the highways - thats complete nonsense, and is not written in the manuscripts.
Man takes the truth in Gods Word and makes up stories around it that are so ridiculous that only an idiot would believe it.
God knows whats going on, and He is very much in control;
Nobody will be thrown into hell. When Christ returns, there will be a 1000 yr period of teaching. So you won't have to ask if someone knows the truth, they will know it, and it will be right in front of them. Nobody goes to hell until after that teaching period, and after each person has every opportunity to know the truth.
This is not to say that there will be a second chance, its just that with the crap thats being taught out there (or the truth thats not being taught) God knows that many people don't have a chance in hell of learning what is true.
Anyway, thats a brief overview, but I hope its helpful to you.

the point of God is not to understand everything. it's supposed to be based on faith. there are many things in science and math that aren't explained yet every one believes them because they were taught it in school. no big difference there. belief and faith are two different things. if there was no God then everything here would be pointless. why would we even be walking this earth if there were no God? there are too many things that have happened in my life for me to ever think there is no God. i've had a lot of troubles and trials through my life but never have lost faith. there was an accident i had where there was no way there is no God after i survived that crash i said if anyone ever said there was no such thing as God i would be irritated. then two years later a woman i work with her daughter died in a car accident. when i heard the details of her accident i almost froze where i stood because the accident was the same as mine (fell asleep ran into the back of a truck, not passenger truck uhaul type) she died on impact i walked away with glass in my arm. if that's not divine intervention i don't know what is. obviously people have a purpose and once that purpose is served God brings you home. obviously it was not my time. if there is no God why would one person survive severe accident and another die? that day i had my accident i put on my seat belt and i normally didn't wear it. what else could have made me choose to put that belt on? i thought of my mother who had passed when i buckled my belt that day. ten minutes later i dozed off and ran into the back of a uhaul going 60mph. but maybe i was just lucky right? well i don't believe in luck. i've had a lot of bad things happen. but obviously it's all been for a good reason.

Some questions will not be answered on this earth.

God never felt lonely. He is complete, as stated in the Bible. If you are complete, you do not have feelings of loneliness, etc.

Satan is the only hindrance in your belief in God. God has already put the motive in us all to seek Him (in the form of asking about the universe and creation, etc). Satan will always attack you with questions about God's existence. Satan overcomes many (who end up in Hell).

I'm glad I am not under Satan's power anymore.

Isaiah 55:9.........“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than YOUR ways, and my thoughts than YOUR thoughts.
Psalm 115:16......As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong,But the earth he has given to the sons of men.

some questions just can't be answered.

The Bible does answer questions like: Why are we here?
Why does God permit wickedness?
Why do we suffer?
Why do we grow old and die?
Where do you go when you die?
Does God care for us?
What is the purpose of life?
and many more, but why he created the universe, the Bible does not answer or I couldn't find it yet.

There is definately a God my friend. I know this because I know Him and because I have a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, His Son.

We do not know for sure what made Him decide to create the whole universe, but I tend to think that He was lonely. It makes sense to think that, because He detests religion and desires a personal relationship with each one of us.

You have no idea how much He loves you - can you actually grasp that the God who made the universe loves me and you?! Wow, its an awesome thought.

If you seek Him with all your heart and with all your mind, He WILL be found by you.

He is a good, good God and He is powerful and almighty. I love Him with my whole being.

Why are you telling such an obvious lie. You didn't ask these questions to know more about God. You asked these questions to try and ridicule something that you obviously know nothing about and don't want to know anything about. You had rather go through life carefree ignorant that you are digging a hole closer to Hell with every step. God Bless.

Hi Lucius, You sure know how to ask a complex question! here is my inadequate response, God does not just feel love as we do,that is as a limited emotion,God actually is love itself, He is the author of love and as such cannot feel more love or less according to moods for example.
We cannot imagine this unfathomable depth of love as we are finite and can only understand our own limited ability to love.
Now let me put it this way,why do we as creatures strongly desire to have children? if not because of love then what?
Gods love is the ultimate creating force and the Angels and Humanity are the glory of His love.
God did not need to create anything as He is infinitly happy in Himself so lonliness really does not come into it.

" It is no defect of a great fountain to overflow sometimes " Jonathan Edwards, on God making the universe out of His overflow
so... no.. GOd does not get lonely ... and God did not make the universe out of a lack

There is a great book by Jonathan Edwards on the subject of what makes God tick called The End For Which God Created The World and republished with commentary section as God's Passion For God's Glory, by Piper

Isaiah says God made the world for His glory. The World was to make much of God not to make much of us.... there is also a great song by Steven Curtis Chapman on the subject

All "Your fave" questions are going to be reported by users as chatting. It is not asking for facts or factual advice, just 100% opinion. Great to ask on Facebook or Twitter, so it doesn't work here. As to the Duncan question, go back through your list of questions and see if it was restored. If that is all you posted, you should win the appeal, although they can take months.

Although I am an Atheist, I do try to view the the theists rationality. I like to dabble with how they see things and I have yet to come to a conclusion that makes any sense. I can make rationalizations and using metaphors from the Bible I can build a very unstable template of Jehovah but it always crumbles when I think rationally about it.

I agree with you, I doubt there is a God. With Jehova, I am almost sure he does not exist.
