it is not help or loss of help for the two the conflict or the troops, that variety of talk is political rhetoric, all human beings help our vets, a minimum of with words. it is each guy or woman protester's own rejection of the horror of seeing a 19 365 days previous quadruple amputee or a grieving group of pre college infants being consoled by a youthful widow. Any lifelike guy or woman will instinctually sense the might desire to end such tragedy. it is deeper that only ethical outrage. They sense not putting our troops in harms way "is" helping the troops. they don't comprehend that their is not any risk-free place yet, and that the battlefield might desire to ok come to them, if we don't flow to the conflict field. Any lifelike guy or woman needs to end some thing that makes them sense that way. they are able to't end the conflict or the lack of self assurance it brings to them so as that they protest their very own lack of ability to result the area by protesting the conflict or those working it. psychological soreness is as genuine as actual. no person needs to work out infantrymen coming abode in physique luggage. the sentiments generated from such activities result protesters on a private point and tension them to do what they do whether that action seems ineffective or illogical. Their motives are not completely simply by fact of ethical outrage at a social injustice, there's a psychological and workers clarification for the habit to boot. they don't in basic terms like the sentiments the media photographs generate in them, so as that they attempt and make themselves sense extra sensible by protesting what's out of their conrol.

Just don't be involved in their homecoming. If it is the issue of troops being sent to Iraq then it is the goverment decision that many do not support, it is the goverment who needs to be shown your views. Write a letter to your congressman, senator, or even the president.

If you are against anyone joining the military then it is the men and women who have been sent over seas whether they wanted to go or not.

If you do support the idea that someone in the military should not go to Iraq and should disobey orders to do so, find a soldier who doesn't want to go, who then can walk away and get a lawyer to help so that you can take his place spending years in prison for not following orders.

support troops not the agenda of a small minded leader. Bush that cant admit his own mistakes and who would cut vet benifits. He is far from a strong leader as some here has said he is a man that belives he is a legend in his own small mind so for all of you that belive that he is the great guy just look at his record it is filled with mistake after mistake unfortunatly each blunder cost more needless American lives. Oh and i belive that many many democrates were caputred and died for this country so for the guy that said just spit on them as all dems do he is a bonifide Idiot

You can't.

I don't understand your lack of support for the men and women serving in the armed forces. They are simply doing their job and following orders. Whether you agree or disagree with the administration and policies that sent them there, they are still risking their lives every day for you, your family, and the nation as a whole.

Why you would want to "show the troops that we don't support them" without "hurting feelings" is beyond me.

You respect them, you thank them, you smile at them, hug them, talk to them, try and get them their VA benefits, organize and help them as much as you can, give them, their kids, or their family any help or support you can. You should always support the troops no matter what your opinion on the war is. This is the simple reason why: a president has the choice of going to a war or not, congress has the choice of voting to premit the war or not, soldiers have no choice in anything - they only follow orders - and if they don't this action is punishable by lifetime in prison or death. Please give them love.

Don't worry about it. They don't want your support and already have a good idea that there are a**holes like you out there.

They didn't volunteer for praise. Most will tell you they just signed up because they felt like it was something they needed to do.

I just love how that tin veneer of "support the troops but not the war" has started to slip away from liberals public appearances. I knew it would happen.

You can't. Those people don't just protect freedoms in Iraq. They protect us on our own soil. When there is a disaster, who do they call? National Guard. They are over there as well. You need to support our troops because they don't just obey the orders to go overseas. They are called up when there is a disaster. (Okay, so it didn't happen with Katrina but that was the governor's fault) You need to keep that in mind. They aren't just to protect us from the foreign enemy.

I guarantee you that the vast majority of troops don't care about whether you support them or not because most people do. And I know for a fact that those people that don't support them are NOT hurting the troops' feelings. Thankfully our fine military men and women have thicker skin than that.

You can't. I think that you don't support the politics involved with the war. You should support your troops, they are your fellow countrymen. If you must tell them that you are proud of them for being who they are. Thank them for putting there lives on the line for political crap. It is not their fault that they got sent into a crap-hole and you should be grateful that you weren't there. If it wasn't for them volunteering you would be forced to join the military. And my grandma always said if you don't have something nice to say don't say it.
