Good question. I quess what you mean is you can't say your this or that religion. Well, I'm a student of the manuscripts and also the three Biblical languages - over 35 years now - and besides going to a funeral service for my dad, I haven't stepped into a church that entire time.
Ever wonder why athiests laugh and mock and don't believe Christians? Well, if you are studied in the real Word of God, and then you listen to the tripe that they are putting out in the churches as well as (God help us) the tv preachers, its no wonder. People are fed such garbage that they know it's got to be bull, so why should they believe anything the churches tell them? Why should they just blindly follow something that makes no sense??
You stake no claim to any religion - what does that make you?
It makes you one of the people that will probably be one of the very few that won't be deceived in the end times as the Bible describes. In fact, In the manuscripts, God is quite clear that judgement will start at the pulpits where those lies are coming from, and He intends to take the supporting beam of the buillding and crash it down right onto their Biblically illiterate heads.
So, I guess it makes your head safe from falliing debris.

Like you, Alex, I stake no claim to any religion. I have walked this earth for quite a few years, and the one thing I know for sure is that all 'religions', are man made interpretations of the bible. Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, etc, etc, are all differents ways of interpreting the scriptures. And, they all have one thing in common: They practice fear, not faith.
"Live within these parameters, or you will go to Hell"
That's instilling fear, not faith.
Don't get me wrong, I have no hard feelings toward anyone who practices their preferred faith. It's their decision. What I do have a problem with is when it crosses boundaries. "Ours is right" is ok. "Ours is right, yours is wrong" is not.
It's extremely hypocritical to preach acceptance and tolerance out one side of your mouth and condemn someone for their beliefs out the other.
What I suggest is cultivating a dogma that gives you peace. It doesn't have to be any one religion, or system. It only has to be what you believe.

I think we would need more then one sentence to help you qualify your religious believes. But with out throwing your support behind one, I guess agnostic would be most proper.
