Some individuals may use waxing, sugaring, epilation devices, lasers, threading, intense pulsed light or electrology. Hair is also sometimes removed by plucking with tweezers.

The methods used vary among times and regions, but shaving is the most common method.

(I must say I haven't heard of Sugaring till now....)

SUGARING
Sugaring (also known as 'Persian waxing') is a method of hair removal that has been in use for thousands of years. The process is similar to waxing, though there are a few differences in the two.

Sugaring is supposed to be less painful because it only sticks to the hair (wax will also attach to the skin).

Since it is made out of natural ingredients, it is supposed to be less harmful than wax, as well; however, "natural" does not necessarily mean "safe". Though the process and the materials usually leaves a sticky mess, sugar is soluble in water and therefore sugaring involves a relatively easy cleanup with warm water.

Sugaring paste can be prepared with common household food items, such as sugar, lemon juice, honey or molasses.

Getting the consistency correct takes some practice for most users. The area to be depilated is typically dusted with powder prior to application of the sugaring solution, which is spread on with a spatula, tongue depressor, or other flat object.

After the sticky paste is applied to the skin, a strip of porous cloth or paper is pressed into the preparation. The strip is then quickly pulled away in the opposite direction of hair growth, taking hairs with it.

There are several common recipes for sugaring solutions.

The most common recipe is:
2 cups sugar (white processed sugar)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice

The ingredients are brought to heat on a stove until the mixture reaches about 250F. This puts the sugar into the hard ball stage (see candy for an explanation of stages of sugar)

I used to shave down below with a razor and found that I broke in a rash (common) so found an alternative way which was to buy a battery razor.

I got Remington Confidence Bikini Trimmer BKT3000. It worked a treat - no rashes or spots afterwards! Its very good and effective....

Remington Confidence Bikini Trimmer BKT3000
# Safely and gently trims the entire bikini area.
# Wet and dry for use in the shower.
# Precision trimming with 5 cutting lengths.

I bought mine at Argos online for £19.99

Do ignore the fact the model comes in PINK - okay? Its great - it trims even shaves to the skin. I used it on my partner before he went for an operation.

Hope this helps.

I don't know about painless but waxing gives the best results. AND DON'T USE HAIR REMOVAL CREAM.....it is not designed for the genital area only the bikini line

Hey there,
You can get hair removal cream, from boots or super drugs or similar shops, where there is not pain what so ever! but make sure you get the right kind and that you skin dose not react to the cream, which is most case it dosent.

Good luck

Hi Brb

Get your girl to cut it short (very carefully) with the sissors that way you dont get too bristly when it begins to grow back
If she cuts you no doubt she will kiss it better

get some nair, or other hair removal cream, but get the one specially for the bikini, or sac n crack area, its a gentler formulation so wont leave you sore!
waxing might hurt but lasts longer, shaving doesnt hurt but the stubble growing back is a nightmare.
personally i prefer pubic hair on a bloke, baldy bits just do it for me im afraid.
good luck whatever you decide
