I'm a Christian who loves the Lord and follows His commandments, etc...I have an irreversible desease which causes pain in my feet and legs. Does God care if I'm in pain? If yes, how could He allow such daily pain to continue? Praying doesn't seem to help! I do believe in miracles and have seen His mighty powers at work in others. I am wondering...when is it my turn to be healed?

Signed,
Hurting!

to be a good christian is to suffer. we suffer and God never said that he was going to get us out of that. this world is suffering, and we are too as part of it. Christ came and became man and suffered showing that he cares by taking part in the suffering human. there is not a way out of it. i dont know what your disease is but try to feel thankful rather than resentful. the truth is PJ it may never be your time to be healed. read the ACTS. and when you come to the part where Peter James and John were rejoicing in the fact that they were persecuted and scourged just like Jesus you may understand how suffering and Christian are one in the same. God gave you this pain to share with his son. give it to Jesus and in your prayers instead of asking him to take it away, asked him what he wants you to do with it. maybe this pain will bring you to a closer understanding of those who deal with pain that is worse than your own. realize that others suffer a great deal more than you and me. what you want for yourself try and give to them. what i say is difficult, especially for me. we dont want to do what im saying b/c we all want to feel good and be healthy. you are entitled to seek out remedies and pray for God to take this pain away. that is your power as a person. but as you seek your own healing, perhaps you could be seeking the healing of others just like you or with worse conditions. perhaps you can pray for them when you pray for your own health. forget what these other pagans are saying about God not existing and that you are on your own. God sent his own son to suffer with us but for a reason. do you not think that he will let you suffer for a reason. remember that b/c Jesus became man, suffered with man and for man, that you will forever have an advocate who understands man. give him your troubles, and remember what i said about praying and helping others as well. suffer for others like our lord. suffer for me and maybe we will see each other in paradise and i can thank you for getting me there.

Yes, you missed the point. Man was made with an Innocent mind, that is pure and all choices they make are based on the impute given to them. If they decided to trust a snake out of greed then God's truth, that was their choice. If God made them more resistant then it would have been one sided and not out true ability to make a free choice. If you did any further reading you would see that God immediately began the proper steps to reconcile man to Him. First he told them the earliest prophecy of Christ, that the woman's child shall bruise the snakes head and the snake bruise his heal. The next is God himself shed the first blood and killed a bear so that He could cover the shame of man and woman, i.e. cloth them for their sake. The curse is self perpetuating do to the fact that it is a corruption or infection on creation. As for hell, people walk into hell by their own accord. There are two places to go, to God or away from God. To walk away from God is to walk out His presence. Since God is everywhere the only place is a pocket area where you can finally escape God. You walk the path, no one is grabbing at you. God can't force you to follow Him. There is only going to be one of two people giving this once sentence in the end. Either you will say, "Your will be done", or God will say, "Your will be done". I prefer to be the one saying, "Your will be done." If you are willing to turn your back on God, then so be it, but you can't say He didn't try everything to help you from the path You Chose.

PJ, I'm so sorry for you. It's hard to live when you're in pain. Yes, God cares. He loves you, and He cares. As it's been said, it's hard to know why He lets His loved ones suffer. Look to Jesus: He suffered! Why? So we could have eternal life. You said prayer doesn't seem to help: He hears your prayers, don't give up. Remember the lady who kept going to the king story in the bible. Have others keep praying for you. If He chooses to heal you, He'll do it in His time. Read Job, he suffered too! And God repaid him with more than he had to start with. I'm sorry, I'll pray for you too!

Well, God always has a reason for suffering. We may not know the reason here on earth, but it will be revealed in heaven. God let things happen to many people in the Bible so they could deal with other things in the future or help other people that are going threw the same thing.

Exactly where is god now ?

All those years of praying going to church and missing out from not spending time with important living people?

If you do believe in miracles then you still have hope, but don't wait for god, go out and get the help you need from people, healers, doctors anyone that can help. (maybe your God will work through them to help you - I hope so)

Your not gonna listen to me but Prayer doesn't work and there is no god. I would rely on Science on this one because they are the only ones who can help you. Sometimes unfortunately bad stuff happens to people. Its either something in your genes or Something you have caused to happen to yourself. Life is just like that sometimes. I wouldnt sit around wondering what god can do to help, I would look around for possible doctors or hospitals that might specialize in pain managment.

I am sorry your are hurting. i do not believe there is a god. Life is a series of random events. Things just happen to us. Good and bad. God was created many years ago in many different cultures to explain thing they did not understand. If that thought gives you comfort now, keep it. But do not depend on it to make you better. Do that yourself.

Sometimes pain for a person is part of God's plan, we dont know why as mere mortals! Some people are destined to suffer, just read the story of St Bernadette if you are not familiar with it. Her suffering was severe but through it she touched many lives and did good.
I am often in pain and wonder "why", but who am I to question?
I wish you well, healing and peace.

to be honest it's quite a hard question... not sure if there's an answer to that... although i consider myself an atheist, i regard faith as being a gift, you should cherish it.
my words might be nonesense...
still, faith helps lots of people to overcome great difficulties, notwithstanding whether any god truly exists.
would like to be able to answer your question.
