Your omega acids are the key and these are found in fish oils.
So have tuna, salmon and other fish in your diet 3 times a week.
You can also take supplements.

Also exercise your brain - do puzzles and challenges to keep
your mind sharp. Constantly keep yourself open to new ideas
they keey your mind young.

Intellectual performance requires the specific type of fat found most commonly in fish, known as omega-3 fatty acids
to boost alertness, memory and stress resistance :
choline, the fat-like B vitamin found in eggs
to influence mental performance:
Sugar can make you sharp -- although no one can figure out what is the right dose at the right time.
Carbohydrates -- especially when eaten with no protein or fat -- may indeed be mentally soothing. Muzak for the mind. There are times when we all need some of that.

You can eat foods containing lots of cocoa, like bitter chocolate. It helps your brain when it needs to do a lot of work. Also products that contain glucose (you can even find plain glucose in drugstores).

But the main thing you need to do to improve your memory is to train it. You can't just boost it with different foods. Try learning poetry by heart, learn a new language, play cards and chess. Chess is especially good, because you need to keep all the move combinations in your head.
