No, poems don't have to rhyme at all. But they should ideally have a rhythm.....in other words, when you read the poem out, line by line it should have a nice flow, not a mix of long drawn out sentences and short ones all muddled up.
If you try to keep the sentence lengths about the same, one or two words difference doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if the sentences are very short...sometimes this works better.
The poem should tell a short 'story' so it has an opening a middle bit and the last part should be what you finally want to say.
Hope that helps a bit.

Poems do not have to rhyme, these sort are known as blank verse. The best way to write poetry is from the heart. Try reading some love poetry for some inspiration, though be careful it doesn't lapse into plagarism!

Poems don't have to rhyme but before you proceed it would be useful for you to learn how to spell, punctuate and proof read your work. If your poem is as badly written as your question then I am certain it won't have the desired effect.

Not exactly...heard about Blank Verses in Literature class?
Choose a topic (in this case, love)
Choose the ideas you want to express him.
Put them in words (brainstorming, not verses yet)
Organize them into verses and get a draft
Reread it and correct it (until you feel it is good enough)
Write it again in a clean and nice piece of paper
Give it to your Valentine.
