I am looking for a program (preferably freeware or shareware) that can remove duplicate mp3's from my computer (and specifically Winamp.) I am so sick of not being able to use my 'shuffle' option to the maximum potential of the program. Knowing me, you can probably already do this with something simple on Winamp, but I do not know the program well enough to find it yet. If anyone can recommend a good dupe removal program (for either just mp3's or any dupe file), please do so. My hard drive thanks you! :)

you could check out the winoptimiser from www.ashampoo.com they have trial versions of all their programs and they are cheap too.first time i used the winoptimiser i cleared 650mb of rubbish off of my pc and it now runs as if it had been reinstalled.it scan and finds duplicate files, rubbish left over from uninstalling programs and many other orphaned file entries as well as a registry cleaner, which is a main cause of windows becoming slow and having to be restarted frequently.trial versions of ashampoo products are currently 30 or 40 days.

There are applications available that ought to seek for your computing gadget(s) for copy archives, do exactly an information superhighway seek for for "reproduction document" and/or "finder", "killer", "seek for". i'm nevertheless searching for my acceptable reproduction document finder. yet i have been using ordinary reproduction document Finder, or maybe as no longer acceptable (rather its funky UI layout), it is loose and receives the pastime finished. i have also tried the shareware document evaluation software previous study and that i recommend you a minimum of provide it a glance. It does an astonishing pastime of comparing/merging the contents of two archives or directories. notwithstanding, it does no longer seek for for duplicates as ordinary reproduction document Finder does. If it did or ought to study folders contents inspite of document call, i ought to purchase it. right this moment, document names might want to be similar besides or be 're-aligned' using common expressions. BTW, such as previous study is the loose WinMerge. it is geared extra frequently than not in route of textual content, yet may also do binary/hex evaluation.
