i have a 10 month old kitten, ive had him since august...he's a wonderful cat, he's also half siamese, the only problem is he chews on everything! I know he's not teething anymore, but he's constantly chewing on phones, remotes, pens, keys, door knobs, you name it!! Its getting bad, i even bought him a plastic dog bone, he'll chew on it for awhile, but still continues with his bad habit on everything else. What can i do to get him to stop, he chewed my boyfriend's glasses so bad that he cant see out of them anymore...please help

use white vinegar and put some in a bottle and each time you see it spray that area..cat hate vinegar..also if he urine on anything use vinegar as well full but not watered down..it removed the smell and it will only smell like vinegar..

When you see your cat chewing on things, spray him with a water bottle, I've found that's the best way to discipline a cat, also make sure he's got enough toys to keep him occupied. My youngest cat was the same way, she still tries to do it every now and then but we spray her, now when she sees the bottle she knows shes doing something bad and she runs.

You have to be really assertive with him as you would a dog. Buy a mini kennel to put him in if he chews on something to let him know that he did wrong. The best way is to see a vet to see if there's a pain in his teeth that he's trying to ease. Good luck!

Buy some of that Apple Bitter or Bitter Yuck they sell at pet stores and spray it on things. It is harmless to kitty if she does lick it or chew it, but it tastes like #@$%. I sprayed some on my kitty after her surgery so she would not lick her stiches, and I got some on my hands.....forgot about it and licked my fingers, YUCK!

see another post about chewing cables - get shaws chew deterrent, it works for mine, only need to put it on a couple of favourite chew places and they will give up eventually.

ALSO there is a cat spa which i used to have and none ofmy cats use it but my chewer would if i still had it! it has bits for them to chew and nibble on..you could get one of those and train him to use that only

My daughter's kitten chewed up just about every electrical wire she has in the house. So you may need to buy some wire loom to wrap around your electrical cords.
