both me and my partner are allergic to penacilline so when we have children will they be allergic aswell or will they be ok?

most probably yes because allergies could be genetic and since both of you and your partner have the same allergy then then chances of your children inhereting it is now more than 50%. anyways, they will be ok too, when ever they'll need antibiotics in the future for any form of acute infections just tell the them to tell their doc they're allergic to penicillin. they must also be trained with emergency care in case they accidentally take a drug which is penicillin based but non specified. equip them with vitamin C so they'll be away from infections and they won't have to deal with antibiotics. but im pretty sure they'll be fine. best wishes to you and your partner.

Well, I have allergies to pen. and sulfa but neither of my sons do. My husband dosent though but your chances are probley higher. You could easily call an obgyn or prob a children doc and ask and they should tell you right over the phone. Or next time your at your primary doc ask.

Very likely. However you can help your child's allergies by not exposing him to any allergens the first few years. I used a special formula with my daughter and did not give her any solid food until 6 months. Even though both my husband and I have allergies, she has a lot fewer allergies than either of us.

It is possible. Both my mother and I are allergic to chicken and we have hayfever.

so far, none of my kids are allergic to penicillin even though both parents are.
