Computer languages are basically divided into 2 groups: High Level Language and Low Level Language.
High Level Languages are the ones which are easily understandable by us comprising mostly of executable blocks of code, which mostly take certain decisions which determine the direction or flow of the program.
Most modern software is written in a High Level Language, assembled into Low Level assembly code, and then compiled into machine instructions.
