If you've experience a small cut from eating tortilla chips or some other hard foods that doesn't negate a visit to the dentist then you can use a really warm salt water solution several times a day to help heal the wound and give you some comfort. The more you use it the faster it will heal and better it will feel. If this is a gaping cut from something other than food, then you may need a quick visit to the dentist to see if sutures are needed. In the majority of cases we send you home with the above advise. Hope I've been of some help to you. Watch out for those killer chips, everybody does it! Good luck.

Rinse with really warm salt water. Plus use Vitamin E. Just break open the gelcap and smear on the cut, then swallow as usual. It works.

P.S. I don't think that there is anything that a dentist could do for you. If it is a REALLY bad cut that requires medical attention, go to your doctor. If someone asked how to heal a paper cut on their finger faster, I wouldn't automatically send them to the doctor.

Bonjela gel will soothe it and help it heal but it rarely takes more than a few days to improve if you leave it.
