How to get rid of Pimples
What is the best pimple treatment? The best pimple treatment varies from person to person. Firstly, do not ever pop a pimple, this will spread the infection and cause scaring. Make sure you drink plenty of water, to help flush toxins out of your body. Most importantly though, you should reasses what skin care you are using. Because skin care is applied to your face usually everyday, you should make sure it is right for your skin, otherwise you could slapping stuff on you face that is clogging up your pores and leaving a layer of excess oil on your face daily. Many skin care products and creams contain ingredients that actually irritate your skin. Most commercially used products contain sulphates and Petro Chemicals that you probably can not even pronounce the names of, go have a look at the labels.

How to remove acne
1. Stop popping the pimples and zits. This will only risk encouraging your acne to stay due to inflammation, irritation, and possibly infection. If a pimple comes up in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly.
2. Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use an abrasive cloth or scrub, or use an over-the-counter chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Remember that over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of acne by irritating the skin.

* It's generally recommended to do this twice a day--once in the morning, and once before bed.
* Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause you to shed more dead skin cells as well as irritate your skin.
3. Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. Some toners are medicated, too, and this stage is the best stage for putting on a medicated product.
4. Remove bacteria from your pores. Your skin can become "allergic" to these bacteria. Use bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide by rubbing, twice daily, into the pores over the affected region or washing with a medicated soap bar/wash. Keep in mind that this may cause dryness, local irritation and redness.
5. Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments will take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.

How to remove black heads

So, how to get rid of blackheads if preventative measures don't work? There are a number of options.

Many of the "treatments" used for blackheads can actually cause more damage. For this reason, many people look to try home remedies for blackheads. However, since most home remedies are ineffective, you need to consider other alternatives. Lets look at some treatment options for how to get rid of blackheads.

There are many over-the-counter treatments for acne and blackheads. These may be good for dealing with blackheads when you get them, but they don't always prevent new ones from forming. Some over-the-counter treatments are harsh on the skin and cause more irritation and can make the problem worse. If you use over the counter remedies, look for one that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid.

Clay masks, which can also help prevent blackheads in those with oily skin, is a blackhead home remedy that some people have had success with. Avoid masks that contain peppermint or other mint because those can be irritating to the skin.

There are prescription medications designed to treat acne. One of the most popular of these is Accutane. Medications like these carry the risk of serious side effects, though. For example, Accutane cannot be taken during pregnancy, as it causes birth defects.

There are other treatments that can be provided by doctors, such as a chemical peel. This basically removes the top layer of skin from the face, leaving fresh-looking new skin behind. There is nothing to prevent blackheads from coming back, though. This is a pretty harsh treatment, and is generally recommended only if other treatments fail.

Because many over-the-counter and prescription treatments for acne can be irritating to the skin and may even make the problem worse, many people are now looking for an alternative that can treat the problem naturally and without side effects. Natural treatments are becoming the most popular treatment for acne. The problem though, is finding the right natural treatment for you.

I just went to the doctor yesterday and asked the same question. Her reply: STOP DRINKING SODA! I've used pills, medical creams and ointments, over the counter crap, etc. and of course, nothing has worked for me. I was even thinking of trying ProActive Solution you see on TV. But anyways, the doc said if I lay off the soda completely, my skin will start to improve. I used to have acne extremely bad but now it went down a lot. My only problem area is around my mouth. One other thing I do to keep my skin dry (I have oily skin): I go tanning a few times a week. This dries out my pores and has cleared up about 95% of my skin. And the benefit...you look great! The only bad thing is it greatly increases chances of skin cancer, and it's a pretty expensive treatment for acne. It's a win or loose situation, I guess. But that's what works the best for me so far. Now I will try to lay off the soda and see how much that helps. Hope this was some what useful. Good Luck!

You should check into getting a deep chemical peel (assuming you mean acne on your face). It helped to clear up my acne and also got rid of acne and brown spots I had.
