I've noticed that, too. For whatever reason, people are now wired to despise authority and turn you off as soon as you make an obvious allusion or give a reference.
*A lot of people I notice are giving answers about "lack of originality," etc. Don't they realize that answers that they count as "original" are almost always simply paraphrasing philosophies that have been said multiple times in much better ways? TRUE ORIGINALITY IS VERY RARE ANYMORE. ALL NOT GIVING REFERENCES DOES IS PROVIDE AN ILLUSION OF ORIGINALITY. It's nothing more than sheer ignorance, idiocy, or plagiarism to ignore the pedigree of your pet philosophy. You didn't just "come up" with it people; you got it from some where. Sorry, that's my little tirade.
Oh, and here's an ancient proverb that says what I just said, only better: "There is nothing new under the sun."

Here's my take on why people don't like it. When someone starts quoting the bible or giving references from said bible, the impression given is a stereotype of "If this guy is quoting the bible, he's a jesus fanatic. dammit. get me out of here!". For the most part,it's true-if someone uses bible passages to answer a question thats not directly related to the bible, chances are they are fanatically religious. Thats not to say that everyone that knows the bible is a fanatic...but if you are always quoting it,thats the impression that you give off,and when someone is fanatical, they don't WANT to see any other point of view, which makes conversation very difficult (how would you like to be told that your point is always wrong, while theirs is right because they can back it up in a roundabout way from the bible).
Anyway, thats my take on it.

Its probably because it doesnt explain anything.
Can't understand how an organ arose in an insect - say god did it.
OK, but how did God do it? Hmm? Thats it, isnt it? Thats as far as a creationist can take the argument. Or they'll mumble something about not being able to know the mind of god.
Subconsciously recognise the wisdom in the bible? LOL - oh sure... you mean like the sun going around the earth and the earth being flat and men being made from dust. Mmhm.
It only makes you wonder if you're a retard.

Few people have any objection to answers (exact quotes or otherwise) from the Bible.
However, the great majority of Americans (including most Christians like myself) are sick and tired of the right-wing cults (e.g. Pat Robertson, Herry Falwell, etc) (mis)uing the Bible to adance their political agenda and smear and insult anyone who disagrees with them.
And a lot of people have been insulted in this manner so many times that they tend to react to the form and phrasing out of sheer annoyance at the repeated irritations. It may be unfair in your case---but that's just the way things are.

Friend, I think it is that if you give the same answer to a question, that many people that has given you are high rating may not be on this site the 2nd time you answer the same question, I too have been rated high in best answers. I have 114 so far. But I am not interested in points, I am interested in helping at least one person. Don't let people discourage you.

You make a very strong and valid point.
Perhaps it is because people want to believe, but are daily seeing others hounded for their religious beliefs.
It is possible, perhaps probable, that those who have been speaking against you have political and/or religious agendas of their own.
You mentioned the Bible, which is a Christian book. Christian values are the backbone and substance of the laws and customs in many countries. These are the laws that everyone knows and the way of life they embrace, but it is not politically-correct to espouse specific Christian values, and make your views public.
Perhaps you should just continue speaking the words in which you believe, and which others apparently like to read or hear. What you are doing is positive. Keep it up.

Okay, let me get this straight - you think the fact that people disrespect answers identified as coming from the Bible is evidence that people "recognize the wisdom in the Bible". Right?
Do you really not recognize the direct contradiction in your question? You sound terribly desperate about this.

Your rates are all from the epistles of Paul that are church letters. not a solid arguer of the be conscious in case you in basic terms use letters quite of scripture. "The books of the be conscious are all those that have the indoors sense; yet those books that have not the indoors sense, are actually not the be conscious. The books of the be conscious, interior the previous testomony, are the 5 Books of Moses, the e book of Joshua, the e book of Judges, the two Books of Samuel, the two Books of Kings, the Psalms of David, the Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi: and interior the recent testomony, the 4 Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John; and the Apocalypse. something have not the indoors sense" (Arcana Coelestia n. 10325 or Heavenly Doctrine n. 266).

"Is it because folks subconciously recognise the wisdom in the Bible but dont want to acknowledge its authority"
You had my sympathy until that one sentence. There's the condescension and stupid implying again.
Anyway, there are so many bible thumpers out here that are wont to copy/paste entire sections of the bible that anyone doing so is at risk of being flamed.
