I think the effect of water temperature on digesting greasey foods is pretty minimal. In fact, some dieticians recommend not drinking anything at all, even water, during or after a meal. It washes the food through your system without the required time spent digesting.
But on the topic of what temp is best: stick to room temperature water, or the closest to body temp possible (though I personally can't get used to drinking room temp water!)

Do not take too much concern about drinking water hot or cold because both are OK in general terms. If you are thinking of good health and perfect figure then do the following yogic exercises on an all time good health till your old age:..
1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat & creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest & reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc, etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )
Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach & intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magic.

I believe Chinese people do drink hot tea to dilute the greasy food, therefore i vote for the warm beverage instead of the cold one.

I go with warm liquids. Try eating a McDonald's hash brown with a Coke. It gums up your mouth something awful. So I wash it down with coffee instead. Your stomach is full of acid and enzymes so I don't think at matters that far down.

You'll burn a FEW more calories from drinking cold water, but it is NOT significant. Makes little difference.

i think you shouldn't drink anything after a meal since it dilutes the gastric juice. let nature do it's work.
