If someone commits suicide and Jesus was their Savior they are still in heaven. If someone aborts and repents yes, Jesus forgives. There is nothing that is not forgiven through the Cross of Christ- but remember that is only through the shed blood of Jesus. Do you know someone who has had an abortion? Lead them to Jesus, and they will find healing through Him. Forgiveness is not an accuse to have an abortion or do anything else against God- "because He is forgiving"- but yes, "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and will forgive us of all unrighteousness".

Jesus does not forgive everything! There are a number of things the Bible says that God will not forgive. Matthew records Jesus saying, "If you do not forgive others for their transgressions, neither will you Father in heaven forgive you." In Hebrews it says "If we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins." Wilful sin is not forgiven, When you say "O, I'm going to go out and sin and have fun and then God will just forgive me", that is wilful sin and is not forgiven. God does not forgive those who sin habitually.
God does not always forgive unconfessed sin. The best rule is just don't do anything you know is a sin in the eyes of God.
As far as abortion, suicide, murder, etc God will forgive any sin when you come to Him for mercy on the basis of His death on the cross, but never expect automatic forgiveness.

Yes. This is the great mystery of Jesus. Many people cannot accept that others can be forgiven of their atrocities and many more cannot accept forgiveness for the ones they themselves have committed.
I think many people have trouble with the idea of GRACE (which is unearned forgiveness). Humans think we have to "earn" our way....that if we are "good enough" we'll get into heaven. But what is good enough and when do you know you're there? Most of us think we are good because we compare ourselves to those who aren't. What if God's standard for "good" was our wonderful Granny or, oh NO! What if God's standard for "good" is Mother Theresa or Gandhi? The hope that Jesus offers is that it is never too late for the humble heart to accept the gift. Fifty years before you die or fifty seconds....it's never too late.
The thing is, Jesus doesn't forgive our sins. God does. Jesus is our intercessor to God. Jesus took our guilt for any abortion, murder, rape, stolen item, hateful word upon Himself and it is through Him that we are "good" enough. Nothing we can DO can earn our way into heaven. Not prayers five times a day. Not giving to the poor. Nothing is good enough except the grace of God that was given to us through His "son" Jesus.
And the joy of it all is that God is perfect. He cannot make a wrong, unjust, unloving decision. we can trust Him totally.

No. Apparently he is a loving god who cares deeply about his people, but abortion and suicide are far too political for him to forgive. Can you imagine the vatican's reaction if Jesus went on Cnn and actaully FORGAVE someone instead of chastising them for aborting a fetus? The backlash would be insane!
As far as suicide goes...again, far too political to be forgiven. The world would be in an uproar if Jesus forgave, for example,a suicide bomber.
Thats the real reason that they won't forgive those 2 things. Mankind would never allow it.

People who committ suicide are suffering from severe depression - which is a form of mental illness. I don't believe that God would condemn someone to hell for suffereing from a mental illness.
Abortion? Well, if the person who had one seriously repented and was truly sorry before death, then yes, she would be forgiven.
Jesus didn't die for just this sin, or that sin, or certain sins that we think are forgiveable - Jesus died for ALL sin.

To forgive is his but to ask for forgiveness is ours. The bible says that "a contrite heart(repentant heart), O, Lord, You won't despise. It does not matter what you've done. All sin is sin no matter how big or small it is in our eyes. the penalty is still the same. it all needs the death of Jesus to be atoned for. But he already did that. So, what else is needed, only repentance. Asking forgiveness and a 36o degrees turn around is all that it takes. nothing else.

Jesus has so much compassion.I can not assume what Jesus would do,although He did show us example of how to live, and He did tell us to keep the commandments.I think abortion and suicide are killing.
