Hi this happend to mine and my hair was getting thin all over the hairdresser was shocked as my underneath hair was practically gone. So i stopped dying it last march as it wasnt getting any better even thought i was using conditioner good ones an all. But i just had to stop colouring for my hair to even grow an inch as it had stopped growning. I stopped dying it about may last year and now its grown loads and is healthy and shiny. So if you dont really need to dye your hair its worth not to, leave it for a few months and use a good conditioner and shampoo. What really made a difference to my hair, Was Aussie Mirical moist shampoo and conditioner. At first it doesnt work but then its strats to and you fell the difference. Also its worth getting the 3 minute miracle condtioner to. I then started to use tresemme shampoo and conditioner in the weak and brittle haor version. (the purlple one) My hair has never been better i they also do a repair creme. If you straigten you hair also or blow dry it. Use a heat protection spray. It really helps and some contained conditioners you dont need expensive ones, Ive tried these and i think the cheap ones work better. I use Morrisons Heat protection spray. Its call straightening spray but it does say on the back that it is a heat protection spary for £1.49. i use to used chales worthingtone stay smooth, £4.99. But this seemed to make my hair more brittle. But yes Keep doing this and you should see results soon i promise you.

If you feel like doing something with your hair, like i do all of the time. I just get the urge to change my hair colour. But ive stopped doing this now, Because i think what it can do to my hair. So wen i look at all the hair colours in the shops and get the slightest feeling of buying a hair dye. I put it to the back of my mind and use the £4.99. To go and buy some hair products to nurse my hair back into health. You will end up having loads of hair care products but this will heap your hair to heal and saves you doing more damage. Also leave us a leave in condtitioner after you wash your hair as well as your conditioner and remember to massage your scalp when you was your hair as it will stimulate hair growth.
Dont give into the tempatation !

No, I think it shouldn't do that unless your skin/follicles are becoming sensitive to some ingredients in the treatment. I colored my formerly fine hair (darkening, mostly - I lightened twice) until I was about 35 (for ~20 years). It seemed thicker after I colored it and I thought it also became thicker as I grew older. I always thought it was the color treatment that made the strands feel thicker (peroxide raises the cuticle or whatever), but now that I have stopped coloring it, it's still much thicker with more body than it was when I began coloring. MUCH. It's like different hair. I lost tons of hair when I got pregnant. It all grew back afterwards, and my hair was thicker than ever... even though I had not stopped coloring it. I don't think you should worry, unless you see that you are losing lots of hair right after you get your color done. If your hair becomes thinner it is more likely to be from hormonal or thyroid changes, than from a hair treatment you've never had trouble with.

First of all, you color your hair and dye Easter eggs. When you color your hair it does NOT make it thinner unless you are doing it every week and mistreating your hair in some other way. There might be something else going on. There are so many reasons why we lose hair it can not be determined unless we all can see you and have known you when your hair was thicker. If you can run your hand through you hair and more than one or two hairs fall out then you might need to be concerned. Go see a doctor and they can help you. But by stopping the coloring, I truly doubt your hair will get thicker. Look at your parents and grandparents, hair is hereditary, it might just be a normal thing. See a doctor if you are truly concerned. Good Luck!

Your hair can become damaged from over use of chemical treatments due to the drying effect that the chemicals have and due to breakage, so this can be a reason for your hair seeming fine.
Start treating your hair to intensive conditioning treatments, get any conditioner for colour treated hair, shampoo your hair as normal and apply conditioner and wrap your hair up with a hot/warm damp towel and leave for at least 10 mins. Treatments will help the condition of your hair and help to stop more breakage.
Your hair should grow back if your treat your hair a bit better, not so many chemical dyes on your hair and get regular hair cuts.

Hi there,
Millions of people all over the world are affected by hair loss, and it's not only the males that suffer this condition as even females are affected by this problem. What's sad is that many of the individuals affected by such a condition end up just accepting what is happening to their hair due to lack of information or options.

Are you bleaching your hair? Nothing you do in regard to color can do anything to effect the growth at the root, that is an "old wives tale". It can of course cause the hair to break off or split, effecting the overall fullness. Sure it will grown back healthier if you stop coloring it, dah. But it sounds like you need to be more responsible in caring for your hair after coloring it. It requires alot of maintenance afterwords to keep it healthy.

You can try the skin, hair and nails tablets from boots or Holland and barrats. It could take upto 6 months for you to notice a difference but if you like to colour your hair you can carry on whilst taking the tablets. Your hormones or stress levels could also affect the growth of your hair. If it is really bothering you, you could ask your hairdresser or doctor for advice. Hope this helps :-)

the color doesn`t make your hair thinner... just break them / split ends, The quantity of your hair is defined by your age/sex/ quality of life :
when getting older , they will thin out, more grey, Mens
got different hormones ... different pilosity
also stress causes hair thinner, more grey, dull, psoriasis, .
and also your hair will not grow back ... the reason is it is not possible .. : a 15 year old girl who`s got very thick hair ... in 30 years .from now she will not have the same "thickness" of ponytail she used to do .... this is due to .... AGEING
there is no solution for miracle "growth/thickness"
just take extra vitamins , good shampoo , and regular trim
