Go to the place where your license was issued and show them proof of the proper spelling of your name and show them the mistake on your current license and they may change it for you without any cost to you. Then again, you may have to pay, but it's not too expensive.

Most of the time when you get your license they ask you to proof read it and tell them of any errors. Once you do and sign it, it's on you. You can still go back to make corrections, but you may have to pay again.

I would go to the nearest DMV office and tell them to fix their mistake and refuse to pay a dime.

The only other way is to go to an illegal Mexican national and ask where he got his. They have better access to drivers licenses than most state motor vehicle agencies.
