No. People shouldn't be made afraid for being exactly how they chose to be in this life...learning about themselves while not knowing they are being watched, recorded in high D.

In my opinion, threatening people with Hell is abusive.

Oneof the stories we hear in Islam is that God wants people to worship him not in fear of Hell nor as greediness to be placed in Heaven but to Love Him for all what He is and all teh Blessings that he has given us. However in 2007, people minds and souls are almost dead and for some fear is the factor that brings them back on track. Like drug addicts, students for example are in fear of being expelled from school and this is why they seek help rather than the love of health.

That's a good question! I sure that having a fear of eternal torment is a motivating factor, but the bottom line is that no matter what you are afraid of, the Bible says that all have sined and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23). God can not tolerate sin as shown in Romans 6:23, The wages of sin is death( or eternal separation from Gods love), BUT here's the good part!! The verse goes on to say, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. You may wonder how we can claim this gift. The Bible says in 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanes us from all unrighteousness. God loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him. As a matter of fact, He tells us in His word (John 3:16) that he loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die on the cross so that if we just believe in him we WILL have everlasting life. So, if you'll just sit down , close your eyes , and say to the Lord: I am a sinner, right now I confess these sins to you Lord. You have told me that if I trust you and and ask for forgiveness that you will forgive me and that if I believe that your Son died on the cross as payment for these sins, that you will give me eternal life with you. I accept this gift right now Lord. In Jesus name I ask, Amen. Now you no longer have to worrie about the reason for your faith, just have faith. You can go to a web site like lwf.org to find more on this and I would urge to do that as soon as you can. They can put you in touch with someone in your area to help you to grow in your faith.

I don't think that fear of hell is what prevents us from going to hell. Our faith is what will take us there and our faith is based on love & wanting to please the Lord and therefore will insure our pathway to heaven.

No...faith will come if u really believing in something....like if u believe in every thing in ur religion..and as a result u will be afraid of hell.
but some people will convert this formula...I mean their fearness of hell will make them believers

Whether it is a good reason or not is neither here nor there. Is it an effective reason? Most definitley, it has kept churches full for a very long time.

When I was a sinner, I did not fear hell, In fact I was too busy to even think about it. But God was thinking of me, & began to deal with me. Fear is not what brought me to salvation but knowing what Jesus Christ did for me did.

Not at all. Faith is a matter of strength, maturity, love, determination and definitely not of fear.

Fear makes us obeying. Faith makes us inspire.

No. If you don't have faith, you won't fear Hell.

It's a great start!! It certainly is how I started...34 years ago, and I'm still plugging along, and my faith is much much stronger than it was at that time!
