Well i can think of a few, The UK, Australia, Poland*, Japan and Taiwan.
* I discussed it with several friends from Poland, they all told me they would rather be a State than in the EU, and almost all of them liked George bush BECAUSE he is a Cowboy.

Australia & UK. These two countries along with the USA form the coalition combat forces in Iraq & Afghanistan. Australia invoked the ANZUS Treaty on 9/11 as Prime Minister Howard was in Washington attending Congress.
Australia has supported the USA in conflict commencing in WW2 through Korea, Vietnam & the two Gulf Wars.
Aussie here!

Best ally....Britain. They have the military to back it up. And that is about it. We are allies to many countries, as we are backing them up should they need it. We dont get that in return. But then we dont need it because we have the greatest military in the world. The rest of the world calls us friends for economic reasons. I am American, proud US Army wife.

It got to be the English, the poor Canadians and the Israelis. These are the top runners and followed by Pakistan, France, Australia and etc......hey...Even the Sri Lankan government also consider it self as a strong ally to the U.S.A and the Americans have confirmed it last week with pouring founds and showering the Sri Lankans with more weapons to kill the civilians in the name of "the fight against terrorism."

If you define an ally by its leadership and military support, it would be the UK. If you are looking for true support from a nation and its citizens, I don't know if we really have any. It is sad but I think we have completely lost our credibility throughout the world.
