i just bought a pair and im in california soon to be a bounty hunter. butin the mean time while i go to school for it i want to know if i can carry them just on me. i cant find any laws that prohibit them

Yes, but if you try to use them without justification you could be charged with a felony. I would'nt carry them because if you do you will be tempted to use them and this could spell BIG trouble. Wait until you are trained and working a case for a bail bondsman. And anyone who says they are not a weapon has never gotten one on and then had the suspect start wrestling, swinging it around like a ninja! Can you say "Stitches to the face?"

Why would anyone want to carry around hand cuffs? That is such a crazy thing to do.
