I am going to cornwall in march with my girlfriend, looking to stay in a cottage.....BUT WHERE??
What town/city in cornwall would you reccomend? ideally we would like the cottage to be somewhere quiet and scenic but close enough to a big town, good bars, restaurants. Some good cornish charm. (already been advised to avoid newquay).
If anyone could point me in the right direction or offer any good info, i would be really grateful. Thanks

Been in ur situation i would say St Ives is the best choice. Its very scenic and close to alot of other places - and filled with alot of eateries and 'cornish charm'. Also theres loads of Cottages, some good some pricy but generally both.

I go to Cornwall every year always stay in St Ives. Prefer it to anywhere else because it has the mix of a Cornish village with a town. Its big enough to cater for your needs and small enough to feel cosy. Give mea email on andybing1978@yahoo.com if you need any other help

West coast.....a small town called Poltreath. If you want a day out you could take the COAST, not main, road to St Ives. Utterly breathtaking.
Enjoy.

Sorry....it's called PORTREATH.
