Religion instills anxiety in people so they feel more needy of the superstition. Religion uses emoitional manipulation to leverage any human insecurity to gain and keep converts. You're supposed to feel guilty about what you've done, so you'll repent. You're supposed to feel fear of Hell and are made to rely on the hope of Heaven. You're supposed to feel ashamed for Jesus being killed.
It's all emotional mind-games. Your anxiety is normal. It's a part of religion.

Jesus is indeed the Son of God. If you have accepted His gift of grace, and accepted Jesus as your savior, then your sin is forgiven.
Our salvation is based on His promise, not our feelings.
Your anxiety could have two causes:
1) You have in fact not accepted Christ by faith, you are attempting to earn God's love and you know this won't work.
2) You are experiencing normal human emotions due to stress, etc. If you are confident in your relationship with Christ, then you have to work on growing closer to Him.
I'd advise consulting your pastor.

If Christ is the Good Shepherd as he says that he is, and you are the sheep as he says that you are, then he truly will take care of you. How do you know that you are trusting him? because you have already trusted him. If you have trusted Christ, then let that be your anchor. If you have been baptized, then let that serve to reinforce the fact that He's your savior. Trust is just that: trust. Being in a good Church family will be the way that God will reassure you that you are in the faith. A brother or sister can listen and talk to you when you are discouraged or afraid. That is one of the reasons the church--the body of Christ--exists. The church is how Christ can physically assist you.

If you are talking about panic attacks, they are not always rational. They can be more of a habit than a trust issue. With Jesus' help you will overcome your anxiety, but it may take time. Be patient, draw closer to Jesus & you will be OK. Anxiety is like any other injury. I had it & I was told it would be with me forever, but it is gone now, so there is hope. Just try to be patient ( I know it isn't easy).

I think you have answered your own question. How could you have anxiety and be trusting Jesus? Read Phil 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

I think that you can believe in God and trust in him and still have anxiety. Of course. You should try to do every thing that you can to have a good relationship with God, and have a clean conscience. And try to live your life in a way that will please him. If you still suffer from anxiety then you maybe want to talk to your doctor. It could be a medical problem. I believe that God helps us. Meaning that he gives us the strength to work through our problems and anxiety. I don't believe that if you believe and have faith in him he just wipes it totally away. That my friend comes later :)

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. .

Matthew 28:20
"...And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
God is with us even when WE feel anxious! :-)

How can you trust in God when you don't even know who he is? God is not Jesus; Jesus is not God. Ps. 83:18 says that Jehovah is the Most High. Jesus called his Father the only true God. (John 17:3)
Those who trust in the true God are not exempt from anxiety. That's why God's people are told to "throw your burdens upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter." Ps. 55:22

Friend many Christians Have anxiety, & many times it is in their genectic makeup, Especially if any parent had it. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Nor is it anything that says you are not serving God. Remember God has only redeemed our soul right now & not the body, but one day our body will be changed.

We will all have hard times that cause us to be stressed and have anxiety. But trust in the Lord can help us get through those times. Y! Answers is really not the place for this type of question. You could easily get false answers that mislead you.
