Jesus said love God with all your heart and love and forgive everyone.Paraphrased If you do those 2 you have obeyed all the commandments. So a Christian means you believe what Jesus said so how then is it possible to go against Jesus and go to war to kill others Killing is not loving it is hating and that is what the devil wants. You can not have it both ways You either are a Christian and love or you are on satans side and destroy what God created. If you say something like well the Bible said an eye for an eye Jesus said that is not what I say He said love everyone and forgive everyone. Thank you and may God bless all

See that is the difference between religion and having a personal relationship with Jesus.John 5 v 39-40 you study the scriptures because you think that in them you will find eternal life And these very scriptures speak about me Yet you are not willing to come to me in order to have life.Jesus filled me with love and peace and I am in constant prayer with my loving Savior The Holy Spirit leds me.It is Jesus who is love and if you have not experienced that love than its not in you.all there is is empty religion.I could not kill a bee.I would rather someone kill me than to even think about harming another human being I dont care if they put a rope around my neck and dragged me down the street i would still love and forgive them because who cares life is short but eternity never ends Jesus is the answer and love is the result until you learn this you are lost.whats in your heart Love unconditional love or hate of what you fear. There is no fear in perfect love.

That sort of person can say they're a Christian all they want.
Doesn't make it true.

I'm afraid you are wrong. Have you never heard of a Holy War. They are sanctioned by the Church if it meets certain criteria. Also, Jesus never said he was against war or fighting. He said of the adulteress who was to be stoned by the crowd; "Let the man who is without sin cast the first stone." That does not mean that no one should cast a stone, it means no one has the right except God. As for "an eye for an eye", Moses said this as it was applicable for the time he lived in. At that time "an eye for an eye" was what God wanted, however Jesus came with an improved message to teach people to have tolerance and because "turn the other cheek" was, and still is, applicable for the time he was in. Forgiveness is important, but you have no right to say that true Christians are against war. Sometimes there is no other option, as long as it is for the good of people and God is consulted. Remember; "Judge ye not, lest ye be judged." Stop worrying about other people, let God deal with them, you are not God so do not judge.

Actually, if you read the Bible it clearly says that you cannot have peace without war. Also, "loving god" and forgiving everyone does not ensure your way into heaven, there are many other steps that need to be taken. I can't really explain it all in text on here, because it's really too much to explain the entire Bible on here. I'm glad to see that you are interested in this area, and I hope that you are strayed no longer from the actual facts of the Bible.

If the forces of sunshine do no longer strive against the darkness, the darkness will continuously win. merely as God made you He, and easily He, has the right to end your existence the following. If some different person is attempting to end your existence, you've each and every precise, and that i ought to argue, a duty, to preserve your self. If it is composed of killing someone to stay alive so be it. How is it more effective so that you could enable a unfavourable human being to kill you as a change? it isn't a sin to scouse borrow to stay alive. you could continuously pay decrease back later. contained in the Bible i imagine it says you ought to no longer homicide absolutely everyone, it truly is diverse than killing in a war or in self protection.

You need to read the Bible for yourself. You are quoting what others have said about Jesus.
Jesus said:
(Matthew 10:34 NKJV) "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
Jesus' Gospel is indeed a message of love, but contained therein is also judgment against those who sin against God. Jesus promised justice for the abused.
The Bible also says:
(James 4:17 KJV) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
We are to seek justice, and provide justice for those who are oppressed. In extreme cases, this would mean war.

You are misinformed on what the Bible says: The main theme of Christ is not to love everyone, the main theme of Christ is Holiness. According to the Bible (I Cor 13) "Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth." No where does the Bible say forgive everyone, it says forgive everyone who transgresses against you. No individual can forgive sin in another person, the Bible says only God can forgive sin. The Bible does not give the authority to individuals to kill anyone, but the Bible does give the authority to governments to go to war and put down or stop evil. The Bible is full of examples of war against evil, and for the protection of your nation.

Lucky for us that Jesus doesn't dictate Foreign Policy.
Should we have turned the other cheek and "forgiven" Adolph Hitler? He would have seen "forgiveness" as "weakness" and we would probably be living in a German-controlled state right now.
If Muslim extremists had their way, you'd be living in a Muslim state--Christianity would be illegal, you'd be wearing a Burqa, and would have no rights at all. Would you want the government to fight to save your rights to be a Pacifist?
Individuals should absolutely Forgive those who seek to harm us. Our government, however, has a responsibility to protect its citizens from the kinds of threats that could end our way of life.

Your definition of Jesus is very short sighted. Jesus is also described as a warrior and in time he will wage the ultimate battle against evil in a war to end all wars.
Jesus also said that there would be war. It is necessary. To your dismay, if you read the Bibile, Jesus is not anti war.
God bless you too!!

Jesus did not preach weakness, he wanted us to follow God's law but to forgive those who hurt us along the way.
Christians are not to be mean and hateful like so many of them are today but they were not to be weak either.
He sure did not preach for us to allow any destruction to God's chosen people, the Jews. We have to do what we can to protect them if our own country is not to be destroyed. (Yes, this is scripture, but you have to read the entire Bible to understand it.)
Remember, that even Jesus has to follow by God's law. The Bible also says that God and Jesus are one but that Jesus is the flesh side of God.
God sent his Son into the world not to condemn but to save. Because we are not God and make mistakes, Jesus was sent so that we could have a lamb slaughtered for us once and for all so that we no longer had to slaughter them ourselves. But he also says we are allowed to eat the meat of any animal because at that time He called it clean.
Remember, that the forgiveness God is referring to, you should also use with Him. Forgive God too!
