It's the men that have 1 less rib not the women, it cannot be biogically explained except for the fact that it is a women gene, but if you read the bible the explaination is there, it states that God took a rib From ADAM (therefore man having 1 less rib) and created Eve a women for adam ( She being afaithful loyal partner to Adam) It can also be said that since women was created from the Rib which is found on the side Man and Woman should live side by side.
