Then said the priest: `How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?'

Jesus answered: `The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Mohammed; for thy sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make thee a present, insomuch that whoso bless thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be accursed. When I shall send thee into the world I shall send thee as my messenger of salvation, and thy word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall never fail." Mohammed is his blessed name.'

Shirk this only seems complicated to someone who knows God only through the Qu'ran and false teachings of Islam...John does not agree with this teaching as no prophet of God has agreed...The Holy spirit was refered to I have read deedats stuff and have seen the way this was twisted if you sincerely wish to know the truth study the scriptures as written by the prophets and do not rule out that which is not in agreement with Muhammad...If you accept the teachings of John then you should accept all of the book of John...You should consider the Books of Moses and Isiah and see if they are also in agreement..The Messiah that was foretold by Moses as int eh true story of Abraham also foretold by Isaiah was here to save his people form sin...the Holy Spirit as refered to in John was to be wiht us forever and I'm sure you will agree Muhammad is obviously dead and clearly was not a savior nor was he the Messiah foretols by the true prophets of God.

Ive read some texts from the gospel and couldnt find where it says Muhammad was the messiah.

It just says hes gonna be a splendor of a God sent man.

In Islam, there is no one single saviour. Infact humans can never be saviours, so the concept of messiah is a different one in Islam.

Only God saves.

Djmantx, please see Ahmed Deedat's comments on the word "Messiah" before saying that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not a "Messiah". "Messiah" means "the anointed one" and this could fit all the prophets.

What the text in the Gospel of Barnabas means is that Muhammad (PBUH) is the last and the greatest of all prophets, and this is why Jesus (PBUH) admitted that he is unfit to have the honour of even tying his sandals' latches (sp).

Again, you must be sure of the terminologies and the translations from Aramaic, Hebrew,...etc to Latin and English.

Please read this gospel very carefully; as it agrees with what the Gospel of John says regarding Periklytos who is in fact Ahmed (the same Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)). Both scriptures agree on a prophet coming after Jesus (PBUH) with great laws.

By the way, you said that the Gospel of Barnabas must be corrupt since it disagrees with the Koran. Could I understand from your words that you agree with the Koran and believe in the Koran's authenticitiy? Or are you just trying to do anything that would distract the Muslims from accepting the Gospel of Barnabas as a true scripture?

Yes the Koran is correct for sure. As for the Gospel of Barnabas, we could cite from it what proves that Muhammad (PBUH) was mentioned in the Gospels as the LAST and GREATEST of all the messengers that Allah has sent.

DJ, please send us a compostition that describes your god and what are the attributes of this lord of yours. I'm really interested in knowing why you're saw anti-Islamic and why are you so ardent in following the trinitarian doctrine. You've actually begun to capture my interests; as it is thrilling to see an infidel like you so sincere to his infidelity and so defiant to Allah, Islam, the Koran and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

DJ Muslims believe in no truth only the Qu'ran. To expect more from them is to expect a miracle of God as nothing less.

The Terry G above is a clone. I would never post comments bashing any religion or prophet. I apologize for this person's ignorance and any offense you feel from their answers.

Please check our profiles and you will see who is real. Thank you.
