I bought my verison but stupid microsoft as all kinds of problems with that crap and iv called and they said they won help me and i was like come on here so is there any one out there that can give me a link or any thing to software where it can crack or get rid of the activation in windows xp home edition SP2?

You have to register and activate it or else it will lock down your operating system until you do.

Many drivers for Vista won't work for XP or vice versa, some do just fine. Your personal data should be fine. The filing system didn't change too much with Vista that XP should read it. BUT I would tell you to burn all your personal and unreplaceable stuff to DVD or CD, wipe your hard drive, and install to a fresh HD. You'll have less hassles by far. If your on a desktop and opening it up doesn't scare you there's always the option of buying a new HD and making your current HD a slave to the new one. You wouldn't have to burn a thing and once you transferred everything off of the old drive you could wipe it. Or you could make your computer a dual boot computer until your absolutely certain you want to ditch Vista for good. Note: When your doing your updates you can have M$ mail you that huge SP2 update. It will take a few weeks, but if your on dial up it'll take about the same amount of time.

Sure, buy Vista. It will get rid of all that Windows XP junk.
