As previous poster, ashleynicole452, mentioned, it is in the baking aisle. It is sold in flat 3-pack strips. You don't have to "make" yeast. That's already done (grown) by the manufacturer. Yeast is actually a live, but dormant microorganism that is activated by water and heat causing safe chemical reactions that make dough rise and bubble. The yeast is killed during the higher heat baking process, so there is no need to worry that their growth will continue after you've eaten the product.

You get it at the local grocery store. There are several types. Rapid, regular, jarred, and yeast cakes. I NEVER use the Rapid yeast, and as for the yeast cakes, I don't use those either - they don't seem to have a long shelf life. I usually buy the 3 pack strip, unless I need more than the 3 packages. Then it's more cost effective for me to just buy the jar.
Just follow the recipe and get the right type of yeast. The regular and jarred yeasts are the same, just different packing methods.
Good Luck!

You get it at your grocer. It usually comes in three small packages and you find it either on the baking section or the isle where they have all the pie shells and cake decorations. By the way, any other yeast will do so just look for yeast.

Thats a very trusted name brand, but can be substituted with any other packaged yeast. It can be found at most grocery stores in the baking isle. If they dont have it sub it out with another brand of yeast.

Get some real yeast and not that crappy fast rise stuff. Red Star yeast only contains yeast.

It's just a brand of instant yeast. Most anything at the market will do.
