I disagree.
I have been with my fella for 6 years since I was 16.
It takes committment and hard work to make it last. In the early days i did find it hard to stay faithful and we even broke up for a week. But I soon learnt that playing the field is not as good as having someone who worships you and will always be there to help you out. My man makes me happy.
You said your relationships never last even if you do like the person. Do you go into relationships even if you don't like the person?

they can last but very rarely do.
people want to experience different relationships and see what's out there before they settle down
young people are still changing, growing and maturing so what's right for them now might not be right for them in a year's time
it also sounds like you are pushing your girlfriends and putting too much pressure on for commitment. this is off putting and can make people feel trapped. give your girlfriends some space, and dont be in such a rush to settle down - you want to make sure you've found the right person first

It depends how old you are? I think if you are young in a relationship then as your mind grows more mature your feelings change. I was with someone from the age of 15 until I was 30. Although it was a long time we just grew apart and grew out of each other.

young relationships fail because the 2 people change as they grow older, they want different things from life and want to meet new people who want the same things.
i`m only 24 and was with my ex for 6 years and we have a 4 year old son,he walked out for the 2nd time just over a month ago, when asked why he wanted to come back after the first time,he said he thought he could make it work, but couldn`t.So unfortunately theres usually one person trying to cling onto the past and keep things going although it`s dead in the water.

Young relationships never last because the 2 people dating are not really ready to settle down

I think young relationships does not last because of lack of experience. You will have to give your self a chance to reflect on the things that went wrong in the previous relationships and make them the stepping stone to the next relationship. But i will also asked that you give yourself sometime before you go into anther relationship.

i'm currently in a long distance relationship, more as family than lovers or just friends. we've lasted so far and it's not ending any time soon. i believe in them, if both parties are truly feeling for each other.

Hello,
It only depends on what you are prepared to put into the relationship. but a whole lot of R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Would be a pretty good place to start. just go easy, Don't go expecting the girl to put it all on a plate the first time you go out together, be nice to her, and take her out to some place worth going to, the movies, Bowling, a concert, or even a bar, but don't get her out of her head on booze, you could end up facing a bust for rape, but do it right and you could end up facing a bust all wrapped up in a bra. remember my freind.. R-E-S-P-E-C-T... NOW , go have some fun, do this and find out over a little time if they really like you................Tony M

cos young pple are still trying to find themselves. until a person is older than he/she would know what is like and therefore what he really want in his other partner. u have 2 young pple who is finding out about themselves might be hard to get on in life. at some point, they might have different view about life and than they have different goals and will after a while drift apart or not get along.
